Paratrooper found dead at residence on base in Germany

"Spc. Luke Blissett was a respected and beloved member of the King of the Herd," said Lt. Col. Neil Stark, 4-319 AFAR commander. "We are all devastated by his passing. As we navigate this difficult time, our focus is on supporting Blissett's family and his fellow paratroopers."

VICENZA, Italy - A paratrooper assigned to the 173rd Airborne Brigade was found dead in his residence on April 28, 2024 at Tower Barracks in Grafenwoehr, Germany.

Specialist Luke Blisset, 21, served as a Cannon Crewmember assigned to 4th Battalion, 319th Airborne Field Artillery Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade.

"Spc. Luke Blissett was a respected and beloved member of the King of the Herd," said Lt. Col. Neil Stark, 4-319 AFAR commander. "We are all devastated by his passing. As we navigate this difficult time, our focus is on supporting Blissett's family and his fellow paratroopers."

Blisset joined the Army in 2021 and was from Denver, Colorado.

The nature of the death is under investigation.
